Police will put additional traffic cops on the streets over the festive season as they step up their road safety campaign.
Starting from December 17 to January 18, 44 officers in total – who currently work for other departments – will be added to the numbers of the traffic police.
Authorities aim to meet the increased needs that are expected to arise during the festive season. Their goal is, as always, to prevent fatal and serious road accidents, a police announcement said.
