KAMARES MEDICAL CENTRE NOTICE 

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Pradeep will be re-joining our Medical Centre from Tuesday 4th May. He will be available on Tuesday and Thursday mornings only from 10am - 1pm for consultations.

As you know Dr. Pradeep is a GESY registered doctor. If you wish to register with him or need a medical consultation you must make an appointment with the reception.  26 65 33 28. 

As usual only one person at a time is allowed into the reception and face masks must be worn.

Maureen Pollard, a trustee of the Emergency Medical Centre, has requested that if any members of the Medical Centre have changed their email addresses to please inform the Medical Centre or Maureen so that the database can be updated. A number of emails are being returned and this is thought to be because the email address is no longer valid.

The Centre Will Re-open On Monday 22/6/20

 

A Doctor will be at the centre 3 days a week - Monday/Wednesday/Friday

A nurse will be on duty 7.00am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 7.00am to 1.00pm

This schedule will be reviewed by July 15th and you will be notified of any potential additional opening hours.

Apart from emergencies, the members need to book an appointment in advance for their convenience and safety.

All patients should carry a mask with them and they need to have it on for the duration of their visit to the centre.

There will be basic screening of everyone before entering the Centre.  Patients with temperature over 37 degrees Celsius which are related to Covid -19 (cough, sore throat and dyspnea) cannot be allowed to enter.

We suggest that anyone experiencing such symptons go directly to the Covid-19 centre at the General Hospital.

Alternatively, the Kamares staff can arrange for them to be examined and take a Covid-19 test at the Iasis Hospital.

Only the patient can enter the Medical Centre.  Companions will have to wait in the outdoor area.

Deepest apologies for any inconvenience caused to members and patients but I am sure you can understand the gravity of the situation which the medical staff have been dealing with for the past three months.

After a great deal of correspondence with the Iasis Hospital the quote below is the latest information we have received.

'The intention of the hospital's management remains the same: to re-open the centre as soon as possible and we will inform you promptly of the specific date.'

Message from Maureen Pollard, Trustee of the Kamares Medical Centre

Due to the Corona Virus there will be no Doctor in attendance at the medical centre on Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th, Wednesday 18th March.  Patients who need to see a doctor or need prescriptions should attend the Iasis Hospital.  Nurses will still be in attendance at Kamares as usual.

The medical centre staff have requested that if you need to see the Doctor for a NON emergency consultation that you telephone the surgery to make an appointment to avoid unnecessary waiting time and congestion in the reception. Tel: 26653328

Please note that over the Greek Easter, Friday 6th April - Monday 9th April, there will be no Doctor in attendance at the medical centre.

The Iasis Emergency Medical Centre is based in a building alongside the Kamares Club House.   The scheme is available to all residents of Tala, Tremithousa and Koili and aims to provide a purpose equipped centre to ensure that members receive professional emergency assistance in their own home, or at the medical centre 24/7.

Should hospital treatment be required, an ambulance will be called to transport the patient to any Paphos hospital of their choice.  The ambulance will incur an additional cost.  The Emergency Medical Centre can be contacted on 26 653328.

Kamares Medical Centre is pleased to announce that a new chiropody/podiatry service is now available both to members and non-members.    The charge for a consultation and basic treatment will be €25 but further charges could be incurred if additional services are required, eg Orthotics [insoles for flat feet].
