The Police proceeded to arrest two other persons, aged 20 and 18, for the clash that took place on Friday night in the area of Agia Fyla in Limassol.

For the same case, another 20-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning, who is in six-day detention.

According to the Police, around 21:35 on Friday, information was received about an incident outside a house in the area. The patrol supervisor as well as members of the Limassol Police Department immediately rushed to the scene for examinations.

A total of 38 incidents were called upon to be managed by the Fire Service nationwide in the last 24 hours, due to severe weather phenomena and especially strong winds.

Most of the incidents were recorded in the province of Larnaca, where the fire stations of Larnaca, Livadia, Kition, Akti Governoritis and Ora responded to 16 calls. Of these, seven concerned falling or moving trees, one moving of a tank, one moving of solar system panels, two moving of signs and one alert for EAC cables. Damage to vehicles from tree falls was also reported.

Larnaca-Famagusta Motorway


During the period 2/3/2026 – 30/4/2026, excluding weekends and holidays, between the hours of 08:30 – 14:30, pruning and watering of plants will be carried out on the slopes of the Larnaca Airport – Paralimni motorway in Larnaca district in both directions, by the Forestry Department. During the works, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed, in sections of 300 meters at a time. Traffic will not be affected.
