The incident that took place on Monday night when a woman, who is an unwanted person in Israel, boarded a flight to the country from Larnaca airport is under investigation.
According to KYPE police sources, a woman originally from Georgia secured a ticket for a flight to Israel on the night of Monday, October 5.
The woman proceeded normally with the process of checking her ticket (check in) and then went through the control of the Republic of Cyprus. It is noted that there is nothing against this person in the Republic of Cyprus, however it appears that she is an undesirable person in Israel.
Later, in the last process, i.e. boarding, which is controlled by the airline's employees, the woman seems to have deliberately escaped control and entered the aircraft.
When counting the passengers inside the aircraft, it was determined that there was an additional passenger. When she was located, the woman was taken away by the authorities.
The incident is being investigated by the Civil Aviation.
