Technopolis 20 Garden welcomes the Christos Yerolatsitis Trio that features Christos Yerolatsitis on piano, Kyriacos Kestas on double bass, and Stelios Xydias on drums. They will perform original compositions by Yerolatsitis alongside a selection of arrangements from the jazz repertoire.

Their music is characterized by a rich variety of dynamics and a strong sense of spontaneity. Blending lyricism, groove, and tradition, the trio moves effortlessly between contrasting moods and textures, creating performances that are both expressive and deeply engaging.



A few words about the musicians

Christos Yerolatsitis
is a Cypriot jazz pianist deeply rooted in the post-bop tradition, a style that remains central to his musical identity. Known for his refined technique and personal voice, he has earned recognition from both audiences and peers, leading to collaborations and recording projects across the globe. He received his formal training in the Netherlands, earning a BA in Jazz Performance from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (2013) and an MA from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (2015). Throughout his career, Christos has collaborated with artists such as Erik Truffaz, Gilad Atzmon, Benjamin Herman, Ranjit Barot, Sabir Khan, John Marshall, Masa Kamaguchi, Horacio Fumero, and Amos Hoffman, among others. Christos has recorded on more than 15 albums as a sideman, released two albums as a leader, and co-produced over a dozen recordings. His performance career spans the USA, Spain, Denmark, Poland, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, India, Thailand, the Baltics, Greece, and beyond. In addition to his performance career, Christos is an active educator. He has taught at universities in India (True School of Music) and Latvia (Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music), and has led classes and workshops in Greece, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Cyprus, Latvia, and India.


Kyriakos Kestas is a Cypriot upright bass player from Limassol. He started his music career at the age of 15, when he started his studies at the Limassol Music High School. He got his first bass lessons as a student of Irenaeos Koullouras and later went on to study and graduate from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, under the supervision of Clemens van der Feen and Gully Gudmundsson. He is an active member of the Cypriot and Dutch jazz scene, having played in festivals such as the ‘Paradise Jazz Festival’, the ‘Rialto Jazz & Word Music Showcase’, the ‘Leiden Jazz & Blues Festival’ and other.


Stelios Xydias studied jazz drums at Codarts University (Rotterdam). He has performed throughout Europe and collaborated with Gilad Atzmon, Amos Hofman, and Guthrie Govan. His recording credits include Mighty Sugarcane, Sonica, and Reprise Quartet.
