Technopolis 20 presents A Voice & Piano Soirée Celebrating Friendship, an evening of song and piano music featuring internationally acclaimed bass Andrew Robert Munn and Cypriot pianist Rami Sarieddine, followed by a complimentary wine in the garden.

Built around themes of companionship, memory, longing, and human connection, the programme brings together masterpieces from the German Romantic tradition, contemporary Cypriot piano works, and beloved songs from the American musical and jazz repertoire.

American bass Andrew Robert Munn has appeared on some of the world's leading stages, including the Berlin Philharmonie, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Deutsche Oper Berlin, and the Salzburger Landestheater. A versatile performer whose work spans opera, chamber music, and interdisciplinary performance, he is recognized for his compelling interpretations of both traditional and contemporary repertoire.

The Cypriot pianist Rami Sarieddine, an internationally active collaborative pianist, chamber musician, and educator will join him on stage. Having studied at the Royal Academy of Music, the New England Conservatory, and the USC Thornton School of Music, he has performed throughout Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East and is particularly known for his work in vocal collaboration and his advocacy for contemporary and Cypriot music.

The evening's programme features Robert Schumann's celebrated song cycle Dichterliebe (A Poet's Love), Op. 48, alongside piano works by Cypriot composers N. Vichas and E, Karageorgis. The recital concludes with selections from the American songbook by Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II, and George Gershwin.

A few words about the musicians

Andrew Munn, born in the United States, studied at The Juilliard School, Bard College, and the University of Michigan. As a bass, he has appeared on international stages including the Berlin Philharmonie, Carnegie Hall, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Lincoln Center, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and Salzburger Landestheater.

His repertoire includes the role of Sarastro in The Magic Flute, as well as performances of Verdi’s Requiem, Zhou Long’s Men of Iron and the Golden Spike, Chaya Czernowin’s Heart Chamber, Handel’s Agrippina, and Huang Ruo’s American Soldier.

Munn performs and develops projects spanning opera, chamber music, oratorio, and interdisciplinary performance. Among these is postWinterreise, a deconstruction of Schubert’s song cycle realized as a sound installation featuring melting ice, which premiered in 2026 at the Tanglewood Learning Institute, the Shanghai Concert Hall, and the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.

His artistic practice is deeply informed by his long-standing involvement in grassroots movements opposing environmental destruction in Appalachia from 2006 to 2014.

Born in Cyprus, pianist Rami Sarieddine has established an international career as a collaborative pianist, chamber musician, and educator, with performances and teaching appointments spanning Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East. Praised for the depth and versatility of his musicianship, he is particularly recognized for his commitment to chamber music, vocal collaboration, and the promotion of contemporary repertoire.

Dr. Sarieddine received his musical training at some of the world’s leading conservatories, earning degrees and distinctions from the Royal Academy of Music in London, the New England Conservatory, and the USC Thornton School of Music, where he completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance. Upon graduating from USC, he was inducted into the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honour Society in recognition of his artistic and academic achievements.

An active performer, Sarieddine has appeared in recital and chamber music concerts across major cultural centers and festivals, collaborating with distinguished instrumentalists, singers, and composers. His artistic activities have included performances in New York, Los Angeles, London, Beijing, Abu Dhabi, Berlin, and throughout Cyprus. Equally at home in traditional and contemporary repertoire, he has premiered and championed works by living composers including James Primosch, Nina C. Young, Conrad Winslow, and Andys Skordis, while also collaborating with internationally acclaimed composers such as Steve Reich, Libby Larsen, Frederic Rzewski, and Mark Carlson.

A passionate advocate for Cypriot music, Sarieddine has presented numerous concerts dedicated to contemporary Cypriot composers, including the acclaimed project The Cypriot Mavericks, performed both in Cyprus and abroad. His recent collaborations have ranged from contemporary music and opera productions to interdisciplinary and cross-cultural chamber music projects including premiering Savvas Savva Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra.
