Rain, storms and hail are expected during the national anniversary celebrations, while a Yellow Warning will be in effect until 6:00 pm. Our area is affected by low pressure and an unstable air mass, reports the Department of Meteorology, while from Saturday dust will occasionally suspend in the atmosphere.

Today the weather will be mostly cloudy and initially isolated rains or even a storm are likely to fall, mainly in the south and east, but gradually local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly inland and in the mountains. Hail is also likely to fall in a storm, while sleet or even snow is likely to fall on the highest peaks of Troodos. The winds will initially be variable and will gradually strengthen.

The temperature will rise to around 17 degrees inland and on the coasts and 6 degrees in the higher mountains, while in the evening frost is expected to form locally with the mercury dropping to zero degrees.

On Thursday the weather will be mostly cloudy at times and in the afternoon hours mainly isolated rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly in the south, inland and mountains.

On Friday the weather will be partly cloudy.

On Saturday the weather will gradually become mostly cloudy and local rains are expected in the late afternoon, while isolated thunderstorms are possible in the evening.

The temperature will rise slightly on Thursday, remain at the same levels on Friday and rise slightly again on Saturday, to fluctuate close to the climatic averages.
