WHAT TO DO IF SIRENS SOUND - SELF-PROTECTION INSTRUCTIONS - Filenews 6/3
The Government has issued self-protection instructions regarding the possibility of sirens sounding.
According to a relevant announcement, in case of serious or generalized danger, the authorities may activate warning sirens, with the aim of immediately informing and protecting the population. Citizens are asked to remain calm and follow specific self-protection measures.
What to do if you hear a siren
1. In case there is a basement in our house, in a neighbouring building or in the area where we are, we head directly to it ON FOOT and calmly.
2. If we are in an indoor space without a basement, we remain INSIDE the BUILDING, away from doors, windows and windows.
3. If we are outdoors, we move to the NEAREST INDOOR SPACE.
4. In infrastructures such as schools, hospitals and stadiums, the prescribed protocol of actions is applied by the competent personnel. WE AVOID TRAVELLING BY VEHICLE to these areas.
5. Until new instructions are given by the competent Authorities, we remain in underground or indoor spaces and AVOID MOVING in outdoor areas, either on foot or by vehicle.
