POLISH REPRESENTATIVES OF CYCLING CLUBS FROM PAPHOS ARE EXCITED
The Paphos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company (TPD Paphos), within the framework of its strategy for the strengthening and promotion of sports tourism and cycling in particular, recently hosted 12 Polish cycling clubs in Paphos, who completed their visit expressing their absolute enthusiasm for the destination.
During their stay, the guests had the opportunity to get to know the cycling network of the Paphos district in detail. They cycled mainly in the countryside in the Laona, Akamas and Polis Chrysochous areas as well as in the Diarizos and Xero Potamos areas, enjoying a variety of routes that combine natural beauty, changes in landscape and a high level of quality, making the “Paphos” destination ideal for training as well as recreational cycling tourism, especially in the November-May period.
They made particular mention of the gastronomic options of Paphos, with the Polish cyclists expressing their admiration for the local cuisine, traditional products and the authenticity of the flavours, which ideally complement the sporting experience. At the same time, the hospitality received extremely positive comments, both from tourism professionals and from the local community, which warmly embraced the mission.
The participants expressed their intention to return to Paphos, but also to recommend the destination to other cycling clubs and athletes in Poland, recognizing the region as an emerging and competitive cycling destination in Europe. The Paphos Cycling Association continues its outreach and targeted promotion activities consistently, investing in sports tourism as a key pillar for extending the tourist season and strengthening the international image of Paphos as a modern, quality and sustainable destination.
