ISOLATED SHOWERS CLEARING UNTIL TUESDAY

 Filenews 14 February 2026

The highest peaks of Troodos were dressed in white again, since yesterday there was snowfall in the area.

In fact, in an image and video posted by Kitasweather from the Troodos ski resort, around 1:00 yesterday afternoon, snowfall was also observed.

The forecast in detail

Low pressure affects the area. Dust will be observed in the atmosphere, which will recede by the evening, however from Monday it is expected to reappear.

Today, the weather will initially be partly cloudy and isolated rains or even isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly in the western half of the island, but soon the phenomena will weaken. Winds will be mainly southwest to west to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be wavy to very wavy, to later become wavy and locally turbulent to wavy. The temperature will rise to around 20 degrees inland and on the coasts and to 8 degrees in the higher mountains.

In the evening, locally increased clouds will be observed from time to time. Winds will initially be mainly southwest to southwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, to later become mainly northwest to northeast light, 3 Beaufort. The sea will initially be a little rough to rough and locally rough, to later become a little rough and locally up to rough.

On Sunday, the weather will be mostly clear.

On Monday, increased clouds will be observed at times, while on Tuesday isolated rains are expected, without ruling out an isolated storm, mainly in the western half of the island.

The temperature until Sunday is not expected to change appreciably, while on Monday it will rise slightly to remain above the average climatic values. On Tuesday, it is not expected to change significantly.
