The municipal councillor of DISY in the Municipality of Paphos, Alexandros Jiang, proceeded today to donate handcarts for cleaning the city, implementing a promise he had recently made. The naturalized Cypriot municipal councillor of Chinese origin handed over a total of 14 handcarts, worth €1800 each.
Alexander Jiang ordered and transported the handcarts for the municipal cleaning crews from his home country, China. The 14 handcarts were handed over today in a ceremony in the Town Hall Square to the Mayor of Paphos, Angelos Onisiforou, in the presence of members of the Municipal Council and the cleaning employees of the Municipality.
The handcarts are made of high quality materials and bear the insignia of the Municipality of Paphos.
Alexander Jiang stressed his joy that he can contribute in this way to the effort for a cleaner city, reiterating his intention and determination to contribute in the future in every possible way to the development of the city and the proper functioning of the municipal authority.
The Mayor of Paphos, Angelos Onisiforou, thanked the Chinese city councillor on behalf of the municipal authority for his donation and for his continuous intention to contribute to the upgrading of the services provided by the Municipality of Paphos to the citizens and visitors of the city.
