The Police are asking for increased attention from drivers due to the weather conditions, as in various areas the road surface remains wet or even dangerous.
In mountainous and semi-mountainous areas, as well as in areas of higher altitude, during the morning hours the road surface may be slippery due to frost.
Roads open ONLY for vehicles with four-wheel drive or anti-skidchains (Due to frost):
- Platres – Troodos
- Karvouna – Troodos
- Prodromou – Troodos
- Kakopetrias – Karvouna
- Pedoulas – Prodromou
- Prodromou – Lemithou
- Kakopetrias – Pinewood – Pedoula
Roads open to all vehicles, however slippery due to light snowfall or frost:
- Kalopanagiotis – Moutoulla – Pedoula
- Kakopetrias – Karvouna
- Pedoulas – Kykkos – Kampos
- Kykkos – Tsakkistra
- Kampos – Orkontas – Kato Pyrgos
In various areas, the carrying out of works on the road network is likely to affect traffic.
The Police recommends caution to those who will be traveling on the road network, who are required to follow the traffic code and comply with traffic signs, to avoid road collisions.
