The Tassos Papadopoulos Olympic Swimming Pool in Geroskipou will be ready to meet the high standards with which it was built from 2026, thanks to the assumption by the CSO of the entire cost of the restoration of its swimming pool.
An earlier decision of the Organization, in 2023, provided for a grant of €233,000, with an estimate of expenditure of €350,000 plus VAT. With the new decision, and after a new cost estimate, the CSO will cover the amount of €412,000 plus VAT, i.e. a total of €490,280.
The additional financial support, in addition to the initial grant, amounts to approximately €257,000. In fact, the CSO will re-examine the subsidy of the project and its amount after examining the offers submitted in the public tender announced by the Municipality of Ierokipia.
The Municipality of Ierokipia expressed its warm thanks to the President and the Members of the Board of Directors of the CSO for this decision, which is an important step for the reopening of the Geroskipou Olympic Swimming Pool. This important development is a tangible result of the strategic cooperation between the Municipality of Ierokipia and the CSO, it is emphasized in a relevant announcement of the Municipality.
