The concern and curiosity of the citizens have been caused by the long aircraft flights, which have been taking place for two days over Larnaca. People are wondering if there is a problem and especially if there is a security issue.
In the radar images obtained by Filenews, it appears that an aircraft is indeed circling the airspace over the port and Larnaca airport. The flights even lasted 3,5 hours yesterday, while today they currently exceed 4 hours.
According to official sources on our website, it is a research aircraft, which has been flying for two days to record the seabed of the port of Larnaca for research purposes.
Similar flights, as we were told, may take place in the coming days.
