The Cyprus Ports Authority, as part of its environmental and social actions, announces the organization of a seabed cleaning campaign at the Port of Paphos.
The action will take place on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 09:00 to 11:00 in the morning, with the participation of professional divers, the Municipality of Paphos, the Department of Environment, the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research, the Paphos Fishermen's Association, the Center for AKTI Studies, the University of Beirut, the Atlas Academy, volunteers, students and citizens who love the sea and want to actively contribute to a cleaner environment.
Objectives of the Campaign:
- Removal of waste and dangerous objects from the seabed of the port.
- Protection of the marine ecosystem and local biodiversity.
- Raising awareness among citizens and young people about the importance of marine cleanliness.
- Recording of the findings for scientific evaluation of pollution.
The Cyprus Ports Authority remains committed to maintaining clean, safe, and sustainable ports. With actions such as the one at the Port of Paphos, we are strengthening the joint effort to protect our seas and safeguard our natural wealth.
