The Central Bank of Cyprus has published data on incidents of payment fraud, recording a special statistic.
As the Central Bank says, no bank robbery has been recorded since 2023, since the evolution with electronic payments has created new ways of "robbery".
Of course, the phenomenon used to be more than common. Banks at that time were forced to take measures, most famously, the double entrances to all branches that exist to date.
A lot has changed since then. So much, that in recent years we have ended up accusing the banks of "robbery" against us...
