LAGRIA WINERY
Nestled on a sunlit hillside and surrounded by along trees, olive groves and vineyards, Lagria Winery, originally founded in 1991, combines traditional character with modern innovation.
Founded by three cousins with deep roots in the area, the winery is built on a shared passion for winemaking and family values.
From the very beginning, their vision has remained clear; to craft wines of the highest possible quality, free from chemicals, and to become the go-to choice for wine lovers both in Cyprus and beyond.
The name ‘Lagria’ – originally ‘ΛΑΚΡΙΑ’ – honors a nearby mountain and the founders’ village, preserving a strong connection to the land.
Part 2: LUNCH
Prepared/served by the Winery’s local Taverna. All food allergies respectfully observed.
LAGRIA TAVERN
Nestled in the centre of Salamiou, Lagria Tavern is housed in a beautifully restored heritage building that captures the spirit of Cypriot hospitality.
This inviting space offers the ideal setting for your next private event-whether it’s an intimate gathering, celebration, or special occasion.
Our menus are thoughtfully crafted to suit your tastes and preferences, blending time-honoured family recipes down from our grandmothers with fresh, modern interpretations.
Every dish is prepared with care, using locally sourced ingredients that reflect the flavours and traditions of the region.

- Platter with a variety of cheese, cured meat, nuts, dried fruit, fresh fruit, jam and honey
- Gemista with rice, almonds and herbs
- Lagria Lasagna (Beef Minced Meat)
- Chicken, lemon and herbs with vegetables

- Apple Pie
- Éclairs with home-made custard and dark chocolate ganache

Accompanied Activity options (on the day) can be arranged at an extra charge, only by prior notice from WET participants
Examples:
- Visit to Panayia Salamiotissis Monastery
- Drive to Ai Ioanni village, a Turkish Cypriot village and return through Mesana village to see some of the vineyards
- Safari to Postolitzies Elies, the Apostolic Olive Trees that grew from the pips of the olives that the Apostles Paul, Varnava and Evangelist Marko ate whilst spreading Christianity in Cyprus
