Larnaca-Famagusta Motorway During the period 16/06/2025 – 29/08/2025, excluding Fridays, Weekends and Public Holidays, between the hours of 08:30 – 14:30, pruning and watering works will be carried out on the slopes, including the roundabout triangles, of the Larnaca Airport – Paralimni, Larnaca – Kofinou and Larnaca – Nicosia motorways, in the Larnaca District and from both directions, by the Forestry Department. During the works, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed, in sections of 300 meters at a time. Traffic will not be affected. On the motorway, between Larnaca Airport and Rizoelia roundabout, during the period 30/06/2025-31/08/2025, between the hours of 08:30 – 16:30, except Fridays, weekends and holidays, works will be carried out by the Department of Forestry on the central islands of the motorways. During the works, the lane adjacent to the central island of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions, at a length of 1.5 km each time.

On the highway, between the Rizoelia roundabout and Nisos, during the period 30/06/2025-31/08/2025, between the hours of 08:30 – 16:30, except Fridays, weekends and holidays, work will be carried out on the central islands of the highways by the Department of Forestry. During the work, the lane adjacent to the central island of the highway will be closed in sections in both directions, at a length of 1.5 km each time. During the period 28/07/2025 – 12/08/2025, from Monday to Thursday, between the hours of 08:30 – 14:30, watering works will be carried out on the central islands of the highways of the Larnaca District, by the Forestry Department, as follows: Nicosia District In Nicosia, on Digeni Akrita Avenue, between its intersections with Nikodimou Mylona Street and Kallipoleos Avenue, from 30/06/2025, until 24/11/2025, repair, maintenance and reinforcement works of the existing culvert will be carried out. During the works, a section of one lane of Digeni Akrita Avenue in the direction of Pallouriotissa/Kaimakli will be closed sequentially for approximately 50m. and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent traffic lane. In addition, both traffic lanes in this direction will be closed during the days when concreting works will be carried out and traffic will be diverted via alternative routes.Separate announcements will be issued for these cases to better inform the public. In Lakatamia and Strovolos, within the framework of the works being carried out on Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos, Tseriou, and Strovolos avenues, from Wednesday 07/05/2025 and for a period of approximately 5 months, the intersection of Georgiou Anagnostopoulou Street with Tseriou Avenue will be closed. During this period, traffic to and from Tseriou Avenue will be conducted via Georgiou Iona Street, where a photo-controlled intersection will operate to regulate traffic. In Lakatamia and Strovolos, also in the context of the works being carried out on Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos, and Tseriou avenues, from Tuesday 27/05/2025 and for a period of approximately 6 months, the light-controlled intersection of Tseriou avenue with Theofilou Georgiadis street is being abolished and part of Theofilou Georgiadis street will be temporarily closed to traffic, up to its intersection with Ergatikattas street. All movements from Theofilou Georgiadis street to and from Tseriou avenue will be made via the temporary light-controlled intersection with Vasilissis Amalias street. In Nicosia and Aglantzia, as part of the project “Improvement of Famagusta Avenue in Nicosia”, works lasting 24 months are underway from 20 February 2025, which are expected to be completed by 22 February 2027. Specifically, they include Famagusta Avenue from its junction with Kalavryton Street to the Sopaz roundabout, approximately 1.7 km long and a secondary road network approximately 0.8 km long, consisting of a section of Kalavryton, Paphos, Madaris and Semelis streets. As part of the “Improvement of Famagusta Avenue in Nicosia” Project, the following traffic regulations will be in place from 24/04/2025 to 12/12/2025: Kalavryton Street at its junction with Famagusta will be closed. Drivers are asked to use Faliro Street to get to Sopaz roundabout. Drivers are asked to use Terpsichoris Street to get to Larnaca Avenue. Pafos Street will also be closed to traffic. Drivers using this road to get to the area are asked to use Gogou Paraskevaidi Street, which is parallel to Pafos Street and was specifically constructed for this purpose. Residents of the Pafos Street area who want to travel towards Larnaca Avenue are asked to use Kantaras Street, while those who want to travel towards the Sopaz roundabout are asked to use Gogou Paraskevaidi Street for this purpose. On Friday 08/08/2025 and Saturday 09/08/2025, between the hours of 7:00 – 18:00, asphalt paving works will be carried out on Christofi Ergatoudi Street. During the works, the following arrangements will apply: A section of Christofi Ergatoudi Street will be closed and traffic police traffic will be diverted via Gordonou Street for vehicles entering from Nikou Pattihis Avenue, while traffic police traffic will be diverted via Arkadias Street for vehicles entering from Vasileos Konstantinou Street. The bus parking area next to the Church of Agios Georgios Chavouzas will remain open throughout the works.
Limassol District On the Platres-Prodromos road (E804), on sections of the road between Agios Dimitrios and Paleomylos, during the period 07/07/2025 – 30/09/2025, between the hours of 07:00 – 15:00, works will be carried out to raise retaining walls. During the course of the works, one lane of traffic of approximately 100m in length will be closed at any time and traffic will be managed alternately with the “STOP & GO” system with appropriate signage. On the Malia-Mandria and Prastiou-Avdimou roads, during the period 30/06/2025–30/09/2025, between the hours of 07:00-15:00, works will be carried out to construct retaining walls on sections of the roads. During the works, one lane of approximately 100m in length will be closed at any time and traffic will be managed alternately with the “STOP & GO” system with appropriate signage. Larnaca District On the Larnaca-Dhekelia coastal road, within the framework of the construction works of the Project “Improvement of the Larnaca-Dhekelia Coastal Road Phase C”, traffic, from the height of the LEBAY hotel to the Radisson Beach hotel, from April 24, 2025 and for six months, will be diverted via Galaxia Street in Oroklini, while part of it, near the BORONIA hotel, will be closed. In addition, the road connecting Oroklini with the Larnaca-Dhekelia coastal road, at the height of the Oroklini Fire Station and the HENIPA Hotel, will be closed to traffic in both directions from April 24, 2025 for two months. Traffic will be diverted via Bella-Pais, Olympos and Athi streets.
