IT'S NOW OFFICIAL - POLAND IS THE SECOND TOURIST MARKET FOR PAPHOS AFTER THE UK

Filenews 9 August 2025 - by Dora Christodoulou

The messages had already been given in 2024 and now, with the tourist season already at its peak, it is definitively confirmed in 2025 that Poland is by far the second main source of tourist flow after the United Kingdom for Paphos.

Official data on arrivals, flights from the country's airports and bookings show that this Central European country continues from where it left off in 2024, with half of the Polish visitors arriving in Cyprus for holidays staying in Paphos.

Paphos' air connection with Poland is the best in the last 30 years and in 2025 there will be up to 20 flights per week from six major Polish airports, with Ryanair having almost monopoly penetration in this market.

These important data are already being exploited by the Paphos authorities in an effort to form the basis for the further tourism development of the cooperation between the two countries. In this context, tourism operators of the province, with the assistance of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, are taking actions aimed at informing tour operators about the promotion of Paphos as a year-round tourist destination.

The Polish market has now become a top priority market and in recent years arrivals due mainly to Ryanair flights to Paphos have increased significantly.
