Vehicles and components that may pose a safety hazard are included in the latest registrations of the European Safety Gate system, according to an update from the Department of Road Transport.
As reported by the Department, based on information from the Consumer Protection Service, during the 30th week of 2025, a number of dangerous non-food products, including cars, motorcycles and components, were notified through the Safety Gate.

The Department of Road Transport invites manufacturers, dealers, distributors, importers and sellers who have placed or may make these products available on the Cypriot market, to inform the competent authorities and to take the required recall actions, in accordance with the legislation.
At the same time, consumers who own the mentioned vehicles or components are invited to contact the manufacturer or dealer, follow the relevant instructions, and where necessary, stop using them and return them to the point of purchase.
In cases where economic operators refuse to cooperate, consumers can submit a complaint to the Consumer Protection Service via www.consumer.gov.cy website.
