No change in the operating hours of private pharmacies is accepted by pharmacists, who during yesterday's extraordinary general meeting voted in favour of their existing hours, rejecting the rest of the proposals of the Minister of Health, Michalis Damianos.
The process was completed a short time ago and official announcements from the Pancyprian Pharmaceutical Association must of course be expected.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Health has the final say on the opening hours of private pharmacies.
According to information from Filenews, of the 518 pharmacists who participated in the vote, 406 voted in favour of the current opening hours of their pharmacies.
