The traffic lights at two junctions in Paphos will be out of operation today Wednesday and tomorrow Thursday respectively due to works for the upgrade of the light-controlled intersection system, according to the Municipality of Paphos.
Specifically, the regulation concerns the junctions of Melina Mercouri with Spyros Kyprianou in Kato Paphos and Dimokratia and Rigainis in the area of the new Mall.
According to an announcement by the Municipality of Paphos, the works for the first contribution will start at 09.00 a.m. on Wednesday and will be completed in 8 hours from the start time.
Work on the second junction will start at 09.00 a.m. on Thursday and will be completed in 8 hours from the start time.
Traffic will be regulated throughout the duration by members of the Paphos Traffic Police.
It is stated that "in order to avoid any inconvenience to the public, a Traffic Management Plan has been developed to minimize the impact on the road network. Depending on the progress of the works, the corresponding traffic arrangements will be made".
The Municipality of Paphos assures the public that it "makes every effort to cause the least possible inconvenience from the execution of this important project and asks for its cooperation and understanding".
