The existing, old road that connects Paphos Airport with Paphos through the community of Timi, will be upgraded immediately in order to meet the current increased needs of tourism, but also of road traffic in the area.
On the contrary, the new and unfinished road of the airport continues to remain on the calendar due to the ongoing environmental objections and despite the efforts of all other bodies and actors for its completion.
Following the visit on June 27 of the Parliament's Committee on Transport, Communications and Works, it was decided to immediately begin the study for the electrification of the existing road, while a regulatory plan for its further improvement is also being promoted.
Unlike the old road used today, the new Airport-Coral Bay road remains stuck and unfinished up to the river Ezousa due to the tensions of the Department of the Environment and environmental organizations that invoke rare flora and fauna in the area, despite the voices in Paphos for false accusations.
