On Saturday, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 41 degrees Celsius inland and 33 degrees Celsius in the higher mountains, according to the yellow warning issued by the Meteorology Department on Friday afternoon.
It is noted that the yellow warning is in effect from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday.

Seasonal low pressure and warm air masses affect the area.
Today, the weather will be mostly clear. Winds will blow mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and the sea will be slightly rough. The temperature will rise to 41 degrees inland, around 35 on the south, east and north coasts and around 33 degrees on the west coast, as well as in the higher mountains.
Tonight, the weather will be mainly clear, but at times locally increased low clouds will be observed. Locally, mainly in the east, light fog or even mist may form. Winds will initially blow mainly southwest to northwest, weak and temporarily locally to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, to later become mainly northwest to northeast weak, 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. The temperature will drop to around 23 degrees inland and on the coast and to 22 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the weather will be mainly clear, but in the afternoon hours locally increased cloudiness will be observed.
The temperature on Sunday is not expected to change significantly and will remain above average climatic values, while on Monday it will drop. On Tuesday, it will rise slightly.
