These messages falsely claim that the electricity bill remains unpaid under the title 'FINAL NOTICE: Unpaid Bill EHA 11256285404 – Risk of Outage' urging the recipient to follow an attached link and proceed to pay their bill.
It is emphatically clarified that these messages do not originate from EAC and constitute an attempted phishing.
The Agency urges the public to exercise special caution in emails that include links or file attachments, as these may redirect to misleading or malicious websites, regardless of what is initially displayed.
