Larnaca-Famagusta Motorway During the period 16/06/2025 – 29/08/2025, excluding Fridays, Weekends and Public Holidays, between the hours of 08:30 – 14:30, pruning and watering works will be carried out on the slopes, including the roundabout triangles, of the Larnaca Airport – Paralimni, Larnaca – Kofinou and Larnaca – Nicosia motorways, in the Larnaca District and from both directions, by the Forestry Department. During the works, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed, in sections of 300 meters at a time. Traffic will not be affected. On the section of the motorway between the Kalo Chorio Larnaca and Rizoelia interchanges, in the direction from Kalo Chorio to Rizoelia, during the period 18/06/2025–24/06/2025, except Fridays and weekends, from 20:00 in the evening until 05:30 in the morning of the next day, periodic road maintenance works will be carried out. During the works on the above section, both lanes in the Kalo Chorio-Rizoelia direction will be closed in sections for a distance of approximately 3 km. and traffic will be diverted to the opposite traffic flow throughout, which will operate with two-way traffic.
On the section of the motorway between the Rizoelia roundabout and Xylotympos, during the period 18/06/2025-31/07/2025, except Fridays and weekends, between the hours of 08:30-14:30, pruning work will be carried out on the central island by the Department of Forestry. During the work, the tangential traffic lane of the central island will be closed in sections in both directions for a length of 500m. each time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. During the works, the lane adjacent to the central island of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions, at a length of 1.5 km each time. During the work, the lane adjacent to the central island of the highway will be closed in sections in both directions, at a length of 1.5 km each time. Limassol-Nicosia Motorway On the motorway between the exit to Kotsiati and the exit to the new Nicosia Perimeter Motorway, in the direction of Nicosia, on Monday 23/06/2025, between the hours of 09:30 – 13:30, works will be carried out to remove, relocate and reinstall signs. During the works, the left lane of the motorway in the direction of Nicosia will be closed for approximately 200 meters and traffic will be diverted to the right lane. Nicosia Perimeter Motorway Nicosia-Kokkinotrimithia Motorway Limassol Bypass On the Limassol Bypass and on the Paphos-Limassol Motorway, the Department of Forests is carrying out maintenance work on the trees and shrubs of the central island, during which the right lane will be partially closed in both directions for a length of approximately 1500 m and traffic will be diverted to the slow-moving lane. The works will be carried out as follows: (a) On the section from Erimis junction to Petra tou Romiou during the period 26/05/2025 – 29/07/2025 daily except weekends and holidays between the hours of 07:00 – 15:00 Limassol-Paphos Motorway In both directions of the Limassol-Paphos motorway, from Monday 26/05/2025 until Thursday 26/06/2025 daily except weekends and holidays, between the hours of 08:30-15:00, grass cutting works will be carried out on the shoulders and slopes. During the works, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed in sections. Traffic will be carried out unhindered in the traffic lanes. In the tunnel of the Paphos-Limassol motorway, in the direction towards Limassol, during the period 16/06/2025–20/06/2025, between the hours of 08:00 – 19:00, maintenance work will be carried out by the Department of Electromechanical Services. During the works, the tunnel will be closed and at a point before the tunnel, traffic will be diverted to the corresponding section in the opposite direction, which will operate with two-way traffic. In the tunnel of the Limassol-Paphos motorway, in the direction towards Paphos, during the period 23/06/2025–27/06/2025, between the hours of 08:00-19:00, maintenance work will be carried out by the Department of Electromechanical Services. During the works, the tunnel will be closed and at a point before the tunnel, traffic will be diverted to the corresponding section in the opposite direction, which will operate with two-way traffic. On the section between Episkopi and Erimi, in the direction towards Limassol, from Monday 23/06/2025 until Thursday 26/06/2025, between the hours of 20:00 in the evening and 05:30 in the morning of the next day, road maintenance works will be carried out. During the works, both lanes of the motorway in the direction towards Limassol will be closed in sections for a length of approximately 3 km and traffic will be diverted to the opposite direction, which will operate with two-way traffic. On the section of the Limassol-Paphos motorway from the Erimi interchange to the Neo Limani interchange, on the weekends of 14-15/06/2025, 21-22/06/2025 and 28-29/06/2025, between the hours of 07:00 -13:00, the Forestry Department will carry out maintenance work on the trees and shrubs of the central island. During the works, the right lane in both directions will be closed for a length of approximately 1500 m and traffic will be diverted to the left lane. Nicosia District In Lakatamia and Strovolos, as part of the works being carried out on Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos, Tseriou, and Strovolos avenues, from Wednesday 07/05/2025 and for a period of approximately 5 months, the intersection of Georgiou Anagnostopoulou Street with Tseriou Avenue will be closed. During this period, traffic to and from Tseriou Avenue will be conducted via Georgiou Iona Street, where a photo-controlled intersection will operate to regulate traffic. In Lakatamia and Strovolos, also in the context of the works being carried out on Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos, and Tseriou avenues, from Tuesday 27/05/2025 and for a period of approximately 6 months, the light-controlled intersection of Tseriou avenue with Theofilou Georgiadis street is being abolished and part of Theofilou Georgiadis street will be temporarily closed to traffic, up to its intersection with Ergatikattas street. All movements from Theofilou Georgiadis street to and from Tseriou avenue will be made via the temporary light-controlled intersection with Vasilissis Amalias street. In Lakatamia, on Agios Georgios Avenue, on Sunday 22/06/2024, between the hours of 06:00 – 20:00, asphalt paving works will be carried out, from the junction with Lesvos Street to the junction with Sporades Street. During the works, the above section of the road and the junction of Agios Georgios Avenue and Eleftherias Street will remain closed and traffic will be diverted via Sporades and Syros Streets. Traffic destined for the southern part of Anthoupolis will be diverted via Elpidos Street and Orthodoxias Street. In Tseri, on Tseri Avenue, on Sunday, June 22, 2025, between the hours of 06:00 – 14:00, cleaning works will be carried out on the central T.A.Y. manholes, between the junction with Agios Georgios Street and the new junction to the eastern bypass of Tseri, Spyros Kyprianou Avenue. During the works, the above section of road will be closed to traffic except for residents of the area and traffic from Tseri to Strovolos and vice versa will be carried out via Spyros Kyprianou Avenue and Agios Georgios Street. In Nicosia, from Monday 23/06/2025 until Thursday 26/06/2025, between the hours of 21:00 at night and 05:00 in the morning of the next day, marking works will be carried out on sections of the following roads: at the intersection of Demosthenis Avenue, from 23/06/2025 – 25/06/2025 and at the intersection of Makariou Avenue and Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue, from 26/06/2025 During the execution of the works, one lane of traffic will be closed locally at a distance of approximately 100 meters and traffic will be diverted to the other lane. In the Athalassa Forest Park area in Nicosia, along Phytoriou Street, which connects the Nicosia-Limassol highway with the Athalassa-Geriou road (Athalassa Street), on Thursday 19 June 2025 and Monday 23 June 2025 from 20:30 in the evening until 05:30 in the morning of the following day, resurfacing works of the existing road surface will be carried out. The said road will be closed to traffic, from the junction near the Forestry Department, to the photo-controlled junction near the church of Agios Georgios Athalassa. Drivers towards Aglantzia or Strovolos are urged to use the roundabout of the Nicosia General Hospital for their journeys. In Astromeritis, on Nicosia Avenue, at the intersection with Nikou Kazantzakis Street, on Tuesday 24/06/2025, between the hours of 08:00-16:00, trench excavation works will be carried out for the installation of an EAC underground cable, over a distance of approximately 100 meters. During the works, one lane of traffic will be closed and traffic will be diverted to the other lane, using temporary traffic lights. On the Astromeritis-Evrychou interurban road, at the intersection with the road to Kalopanayiotis, on Wednesday 25/06/2025, between the hours of 08:00-16:00, trench excavation works will be carried out for the installation of an EAC underground cable, over a distance of approximately 100 meters. During the works, one lane of traffic will be closed in a section of approximately 100 meters and traffic will be diverted to the other lane, using temporary traffic lights. In the Idali Industrial Area towards the Vathia Gonia area, on a section of Tefkrou Anthia Street (road E138), on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 8:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the next day, work will be carried out to remove and resurface the existing road surface. During the works, a section of one lane of the road will be closed sequentially for approximately 100 meters and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane, which will operate in two-way traffic, using a temporary Mobile Traffic Light System. In Nicosia and Aglantzia, as part of the project “Improvement of Famagusta Avenue in Nicosia”, works lasting 24 months are underway from 20 February 2025, which are expected to be completed by 22 February 2027. Specifically, they include Famagusta Avenue from its junction with Kalavryton Street to the Sopaz roundabout, approximately 1.7 km long and a secondary road network approximately 0.8 km long, consisting of a section of Kalavryton, Paphos, Madaris and Semelis streets. As part of the “Improvement of Famagusta Avenue in Nicosia” Project, the following traffic regulations will be in place from 24/04/2025 to 12/12/2025: Kalavryton Street at its junction with Famagusta will be closed. Drivers are asked to use Faliro Street to get to Sopaz roundabout. Drivers are asked to use Terpsichoris Street to get to Larnaca Avenue. Pafos Street will also be closed to traffic. Drivers using this road to get to the area are asked to use Gogou Paraskevaidi Street, which is parallel to Pafos Street and was specifically constructed for this purpose. Residents of the Pafos Street area who want to travel towards Larnakos Avenue are requested to use Kantaras Street, while those who want to travel towards the Sopaz roundabout are requested to use Gogou Paraskevaidi Street for this purpose. Limassol District On the Limassol-Troodos road, in the Lania-Trimiklini section, from 01/06/2025 to 30/06/2025 except Sundays and the three-day period 07, 08, 09/06/2025, water supply pipeline installation works will be carried out by a private company on behalf of the T.A.Y. During the works, one lane of traffic will be closed for approximately 120 m. and traffic management will be carried out with the temporary Traffic Light system. On the Agia Fyla-Agros road, near the village of Gerasa, during the period 16/06/2025 – 31/07/2025, daily except Saturdays and Sundays, from 7:00 to 15:00, construction work on retaining walls will be carried out. During the work, one lane of traffic, approximately 100 m long, will be closed at any time and will be alternate traffic management with the “STOP & GO” system with appropriate signage. In Kalo Chorio, on sections of the road through Kalo Chorio, during the period 16/06/2025 – 31/07/2025, daily except Saturdays and Sundays, from 7:00 to 15:00, construction work on retaining walls will be carried out. During the work, one lane of traffic, approximately 100 m long, will be closed at any time and traffic will be managed alternately with the “STOP & GO” system with appropriate signage. Larnaca District On the Larnaca-Dhekelia coastal road, as part of the construction works of the Project “Improvement of the Larnaca-Dhekelia Coastal Road Phase C”, traffic, from the height of the LEBAY Hotel to the Radisson Beach Hotel, from April 24, 2025 and for six months, will be diverted via Galaxia Street in Oroklini, while part of it, near the BORONIA Hotel, will be closed. In addition, the road connecting Oroklini with the Larnaca-Dhekelia coastal road, at the height of the Oroklini Fire Station and the HENIPA Hotel, from April 24, 2025 and for two months, will be closed to traffic in both directions. Traffic will be diverted via Bella-Pais, Olympos and Athinon Streets in Oroklini. Drivers are urged to exercise caution.
