The Municipality of Ierokipia, based on the information of the contractor of the project for the redevelopment of the traditional core of Geroskipou (MILTIADES NEOPHYTOU C.E.C. & D.), informs the public that from July 1, 2025, construction works will begin in the D' section of the project, which includes Archbishop Kyprianou, Sparta and Kanari streets.
The project includes the execution of demolition works of existing roads and sidewalks, earthworks, construction of a new rainwater sewerage network, works for the installation of new networks of utilities (EAC and CYTA), street lighting and paving of roads.
On the above roads, for the period of the next three months and until the end of September 2025, works will be carried out and will remain closed to traffic.
Also, on Thermopyla, Marathonos, Kouriou and Michalakis Karaoli streets, traffic will be cut off in rotation and in parts for the completion of the paving works.
Within the framework of the above phase of works, the redevelopment works of the parking lot on Kyprianou Street, south of the Geroskipou Adult Center, which will remain closed to the public, are also included.
Throughout the duration of the works, safe access for pedestrians, affected residents and visitors to the residences and other businesses, as well as to the parking lot of Sparta Street, will be ensured.
Depending on the progress of the works and always on time, there will be a new detailed update with all the necessary information for the remaining phases of the project.
The company's engineers remain at the disposal of the affected residents to resolve each individual case and mitigate their impact.
