Overnight works will be carried out tonight, Friday, 02 May, on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, with the Police recommending caution to passing drivers.
In the section between Skarinos and Governor's Coast, specifically, works will be carried out from 9.00 p.m. on Friday evening, until 5.00 a.m. tomorrow Saturday, May 03. During the works, the right lane of traffic in the direction of Limassol will be partially closed, with traffic being diverted to the left lane of the motorway.
According to an announcement by the Department of Public Works, the works will be carried out for waste collection purposes from the central islet of the motorway.
It is reminded that the Limassol-Nicosia motorway, in the section next to the Kalavasos bridge, has been closed to traffic in the direction to Nicosia since January 30, due to works for the repair and upgrade of the bridge. Traffic from Limassol to Nicosia is diverted to the motorway to Limassol, which operates in both directions, to Limassol and to Nicosia.
According to an announcement by the Department of Public Works, the works are expected to be completed on May 15.
The Police recommends caution to passing vehicle drivers, who are asked to drive their vehicles at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles in front, and comply with the temporary road signs in the area of road works.
