The vision of the Board of Directors of the Open Treatment Centre for Addicted Persons "Tolmi" for the creation of a closed rehabilitation facility in Paphos was discussed in a meeting on Wednesday of the Centre's President Annita Taliotou and its member Antonis Mintzis, with the Deputy Mayor of Paphos, Angelos Onisiforou, the President of the Paphos Municipal Youth Council, Antonis Christodoulou, and the Officer of the Municipality of Paphos, Andri Tsartalis.
According to an announcement by the Center, the meeting was held in a positive atmosphere, with the Deputy Mayor expressing the intention of the Municipality to support and upgrade the Center.
As mentioned, during the discussion, the seriousness of the problem of drug and alcohol use in Paphos was highlighted, which reflects national and European trends.
During the meeting, the Board of Directors' vision for the creation of a closed rehabilitation facility in Paphos was also discussed, an initiative that received a positive response from the delegation of the Municipality of Paphos, as noted.
It is also mentioned that the cooperation of the Municipality of Paphos, the Municipal Youth Council and the "Boldi" Centre is an important step towards strengthening support structures for people with addictions and promoting public health in the community.
