The 52-year-old expelled all the drugs from his body. According to the police, the 52-year-old man who was arrested at Paphos airport on 18/4/2025 for illegal importation of drugs, the process of expulsion from his body of the preparations containing narcotic substances was completed today.
In total, he discarded 72 nylon packages containing cocaine, with a total gross weight of one kilogram and 130 grams.
The 52-year-old was discharged from Paphos Hospital and detained in police detention centers.

A driver in Paphos was arrested twice in less than an hour for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Specifically, at around 8.15pm yesterday, members of the "Z" team of the Paphos Traffic Police stopped a vehicle for speeding (83km/h instead of 65km/h).
It was found that the driver of the vehicle was a 44-year-old man who underwent a preliminary alcohol test with a reading of 74μg% instead of 22μg% and a final test with a reading of 71μg%. A relative of his went to the Paphos traffic police, who took possession of the 44-year-old's vehicle.
An hour later, members of the "Z" team stopped the 44-year-old from driving again, and he was subjected to another alcohol test with a final reading of 79μg% instead of 22μg%. The 44-year-old was arrested and taken into custody to facilitate interrogation.

The Paphos Police are investigating a shocking complaint of sexual abuse of a minor .
According to information from Cyprus Times , it was reported to the authorities that on Easter Monday, a man allegedly sexually harassed a five-year-old underage girl, in the presence of other people, in a community cafe in the Paphos District.
As stated in the complaint being examined by the authorities, the alleged perpetrator, a Greek Cypriot, bought sweets for the little girl and then carried out indecent acts against her.
According to the same information, the incident was reported to the Police by patrons who were eyewitnesses .
The complaint in question is being investigated by the Police Headquarters, while the accused has not yet been arrested.

The Police arrested a 43-year-old Greek Cypriot, a permanent resident of Larnaca, on Tuesday evening, after detecting him moving suspiciously in a residential area.
Specifically, around 23:30, members of the Police patrolling the area stopped the suspect, who was in possession of the shoulder bag, inside which cut cables and a number of burglary tools were found. The man was unable to give satisfactory explanations for the possession of the objects.
The 43-year-old was arrested on the spot for the flagrant offenses of illegal possession of property and possession of burglary tools and was detained. According to the Police, the suspect had previously engaged the authorities for similar cases.
He is expected to be charged and released within the day. The case is being investigated by the Larnaca TAE.

A Syrian permanent resident of Cyprus who resides in Geroskipou, reported to the Police that strangers invaded his house and attacked him while he was sleeping.
According to the complaint, two unknown men who had their faces covered with fabrics entered his residence and attacked him, beating him, while one of them allegedly pulled out a knife, slightly wounding him.
The Syrian claimed in his testimony to the Police that he did not recognize the perpetrators, while he does not know the reason for the attack against him. He also said that the two men did not take anything from the residence and that they fled when he started calling for help after the first shock.
