Traffic arrangements for the 27th Pafos Marathon – Logicom Cyprus Marathon will be in force from the morning of Sunday 9 March and will last until 1:00pm when the event ends.
The Marathon will start at 7:00 in the morning from "Petra tou Romiou" in the direction of Paphos via the old Limassol – Paphos road B6 taking from the communities of Kouklia, Mandria, Timi and Acheleia. At 7:30 in the morning, traffic will be suspended from the Alphamega supermarket in Mandria in the direction of Timi, with the exception of those vehicles heading to the Airport. From the entrance of the road to the Airport until the traffic junction of Koloni, the left lane will remain closed until 11:45 a.m. for the safe conduct of the Marathon. Drivers will be able to use the other lane of the B6 road from the traffic junction of Koloni in the direction of the Airport. The route will be supervised by the Paphos Police and race judges. From 8:00 in the morning until 12:30 p.m. The left lane will be closed from the roundabout of Koloni in the direction of Eratous Avenue until the runners pass to the Riccos Beach area.
Along with the Marathon, two more distance races of Half Marathon (21km) and 10km will be organized, starting and finishing at the square of the Medieval Castle of Pafos. From 7:30 in the morning until 12:45 after noon, both lanes of Poseidonos Avenue will remain closed, while after 10:00 a.m. One of the two lanes (upper lane) will be given to traffic. Both lanes from Ezusa roundabout to Caligula roundabout will remain closed from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. while after 10:30 in the morning the route from the Caligula roundabout (junction of Danae, Europe and Eratous Avenues) to the roundabout at the junction of Agapinoros Street and Spyrou Avenue will Kyprianou open to traffic traffic.
Drivers are kindly requested to avoid the above routes at the time of the races and to comply with the traffic signs as well as with the instructions of the Police and Traffic Policemen who will be at the place to avoid inconvenience.
