FREE TOUR OF OLD TOWN PAPHOS- Enhancing the Visitor Experience During Off-Peak Periods
To enrich the tourist experience during off-peak periods, the Pafos Regional Board of Tourism (PRBT), with support from the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, is again hosting a free guided tour ofOld Town Pafos. This 'meet the locals' tour is led by a licensed tour guide and includes an exploration of the central area of Pafos, featuring neoclassical buildings, renovated squares, pedestrian shopping areas, and many other points of interest.
The primary goal of this initiative is to not only enhance the tourist experience but also to showcase the Old Town, its lesser-known sections, and the diverse infrastructure and experiences it offers. The walking tour begins at the “Market” bus stop every Thursday at 09:30 and lasts approximately 2.5 hours. Participants will enjoy a range of experiences as they navigate the narrow streets and upgraded neighbourhoods before concluding at the Visitors Information Office on Makariou Street in Old Town. Here, participants will have the opportunity to continue sightseeing, shopping, or relaxing. These tours will be available during March, April, and November through December.
Additionally, PRBT is considering a pilot program for similar tours in the Municipality of Hierocepia and Polis Chrysochous during the months of April-May or October-November.
