The Minister of Health, Michalis Damianos, visited Pafos Hospital on Saturday and examined the progress of the works to upgrade the infrastructure of the district's state hospital.
Mr. Damianos stressed that these projects enhance the hospital's ability to provide modern and safe health services. Among other things, the upgrades currently being carried out at Pafos Hospital, the Minister of Health stressed, include renovation and expansion of the Emergency Department and the Short-Term Care Day Unit, with a timetable of the end of 2025.
They also concern, he said, the Obstetrics Department, which has been completed, and the Gynaecology Department, the Pregnant Women's Clinic as well as the Paediatric Nursing Unit, which according to calculations will be completed by the end of this year.
Finally, as the competent minister stressed, the new Infectious Diseases Unit and the new office spaces are almost ready.
