The Municipality of Ierokipia, based on the information of the contractor of the Geroskipou traditional core regeneration project (MILTIADES NEOPHYTOU C.E.C. & D.), informs the public that construction works have begun on the third section of the project, which includes Thermopylae, Marathonos, Kouriou, Sparta and Michalaki Karaoli streets.
The project includes demolition works on existing roads and pavements, earthworks, installation works of new utility networks (EAC and CYTA), street lighting and paving of roads.
Thermopylae, Marathonos, Kouriou, Sparta and Michalaki Karaoli streets, for the period of the next three (3) months and until June 15, 2025, will remain closed to traffic. Also, on Arsinois, Dionysou, Athens, Corfu, Leontiou streets and west of Yiannaki Talioti streets, traffic will be cut off alternately and partially for the completion of paving works.
The above phase of works includes the renovation of the parking lot at Kyprianou Archbishop Street, south of the Geroskipou Adult Center, which will remain closed to the public.
Throughout the works, safe access for pedestrians, affected residents and visitors to homes and other businesses will be ensured.
Depending on the progress of the works and always on time, there will be a new detailed update with all the necessary information for the remaining phases of the project.
