The average total amount of rainfall that fell in the free areas between February 1 and 8:00 am on February 28 rose to 41% of normal, according to preliminary data released on Wednesday by the Department of Meteorology.
Besides, the average total amount of rainfall from March 1 until 8.00 in the morning of the 4th of the month amounted to 0.5 mm, which corresponds to only 1% of the normal amount of the month. The largest amount of rainfall was recorded in Prodromos with 2.5 mm, in Platania with 2 mm and in Athalassa (Nicosia) with 1.8 mm.
Specifically, according to preliminary data from the Department of Meteorology, the average total amount of rainfall from February 1 until 8.00 in the morning of the 28th of the month, amounted to 33.6 mm, compared to 81.6 mm, which is the normal rainfall for the month.
