This year's December, as the climatologically rainiest month of the year, managed to close as heavy rain (114%) as after the rains at the beginning and in the middle of the month, a particularly rainy last 10 days of the month followed, with several areas receiving rain levels beyond of their average climatic values.
Although the month will close with an average rainfall of 120.2 mm (114% of normal), there are also some isolated areas where rainfall was lower than normal which are located in the higher mountains (eg Prodromos 82%, Agros 82%, Platania 80% ) but also in eastern parts of the Troodos mountain range (e.g. Fr. Lefkaron 76%, Lythrodon 77%)
