With the new year, the works for the interconnection of the archaeological sites of Marion and Arsinoe in Polis Chrysochous begin. According to Mayor Yiotis Papachristofis, the works will be carried out in two phases and the cost exceeds three million euros.
The Department of Antiquities has recently proceeded with new expropriations, while in addition to fences and corridors, shelters will be constructed and signs will be placed to inform visitors.
It is noted that the excavations were initiated by students and professors of Princeton University in the USA under the supervision of the Department of Antiquities.
