NEW SUCCESS OF ETAP PAPHOS IN A EUROPEAN PROGRAMME FOR 'RELIGIOUS, SPIRITUAL AND PILGRIMAGE EUROPEAN CULTURAL TOURISM'

New success of ETAP Paphos in a European program for 'Religious, Spiritual and Pilgrimage European Cultural Tourism'.

The Interreg Europe program entitled 'Religious Spiritual and Pilgrimage European Cultural Tourism with Sustainability'-RESPECT aims to examine, analyse, develop and promote policies and products related to religious, spiritual and pilgrimage tourism in various destinations in Europe , always with sustainability, digitization, innovation and resilience in mind.

The project involves 9 partners from Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Norway, Sweden, Hungary, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Moldova and Belgium.

The project is financed 80% by the European Union and the duration of the program is 36 months, while the total budget of the project amounts to 2 million euros.  The Tourism Development and Promotion Company of the Paphos Region is expected to absorb funds of up to €200,000.  

Some of the actions are related to the effort made by ETAP so that the path in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul is registered with the Council of Europe.
