EAC has advised about earthworks in the Paphos Forest of Paphos District for the installation of a new Medium Voltage cable.
According to the Authority, the project will be carried out in cooperation with an EAC Contractor and will include excavations and other related works for the laying of distribution cables, with a total length of approximately 14300 meters. The works will be carried out on the road from the area of the village of Lysos to the Forest Station of Stavros tis Psokas and will end at a point below the hill of Chorteri, in the Paphos Forest. The project will be carried out in parts, depending on the program that will be formulated in cooperation with the Department of Forests and the Police.
Work will begin on Thursday 25 November and is expected to be completed by the end of February.
EAC in cooperation with the Police and the Department of Forests will make every effort to minimize inconvenience and better regulate traffic police. The main concern of the Electricity Authority is the completion of the project safely as quickly as possible and with the least impact on the public.
The Electricity Authority apologizes for the inconvenience caused and calls on the public to show the necessary understanding and compliance with the temporary road signs and any instructions of the Police.
