The lowest level in 33 months, recorded in March this year (1.6%), was reached in September 2024 by harmonised inflation, which increased by 1.6%, compared to September 2023.
According to the Statistical Service, compared to August 2024, the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices in September 2024 decreased by 0.4%.
For the period January – September 2024, there was an increase of 2.3%, compared to the same period last year.
Compared to September 2023, according to the Statistical Service, the categories Leisure and Culture (7,4%) and Restaurants and Hotels (5,7%) showed the largest positive change.
Compared to August 2024, the largest changes were recorded in the categories Apparel and Footwear (5,9%), Transport (-5,3%) and Education (2,6%).
Moreover, for the period January – September 2024, compared to the same period last year, according to the Statistical Service, the largest change was observed in the category Restaurants and Hotels (5,6%).
Moreover, the largest change in economic categories both compared to September 2023 (-8,0%) and compared to the previous month (-2,9%), was observed in the category Energy.
