The former Director of the Department of Meteorology Kleanthis Nikolaidis is sounding the alarm.
Mr. Nikolaidis refers to the data resulting from the forecasts for this winter, which show a drier and warmer winter. Mr. Nicolaidis wonders whether a risk assessment has been done to take measures.
His post is the same:
“This winter looks like it will be drier, warmer than normal as a result of the el nino phenomenon. As in Cyprus the water in the dams is very limited, the drought of the coming winter is a danger for the KD. Has there been a risk assessment, thoughts, measures?'
