The Police followed up the actions to identify third-country nationals residing illegally in Cyprus today, with coordinated operations in the districts of Limassol, Larnaka and Paphos, during which 13 persons were arrested.
According to a police announcement, from last Friday 28/06/2024 until today, a total of 47 persons were arrested for illegal stay in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus and the procedures for their repatriation were initiated.
Moreover, in the context of the efforts of the Police to return third-country nationals residing illegally in Cyprus to their countries of origin, 145 persons have been repatriated/expelled from the territory of the Republic of Cyprus in the last week, through voluntary and forced return procedures.
The Police continues to focus its efforts on maximizing the number of repatriations of third-country nationals, in coordination with other competent Services.
