The Pafos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company, in cooperation with the community of Mandria and with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, delivered today to the public the first organized public beach in Mandria.
The effort began at the beginning of the year and has a three-year completion horizon. Based on the planning and the beach use plan, for this year the first phase of implementation includes, among others, the renovation of the lifeguard tower, installation of straw umbrellas, sunbeds and beach tables, installation of lightweight mobile constructions friendly to the environment, bins for the collection and sorting of recyclable materials, information signs.
The works of the first phase are expected to be completed in the coming days, while lifeguard services and basic furniture are already provided on the beach.
According to the Pafos ETAP, the three-year plans include infrastructure to upgrade accessibility, enhance lifeguard equipment, expand the institution of quality coast and apply for the blue flag award.
The aim of the Pafos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company is the continuous upgrading of public beaches along the entire coastline of the province with the aim of transforming them into model beaches of high aesthetics and functionality.
