Another coordinated operation for the repatriation of foreigners staying illegally in the Republic of Cyprus was carried out by the Police.
In cooperation with the FRONTEX Agency, a number of third-country nationals were repatriated on 13/5/2024 on a joint return flight carried out by the German authorities.
This is the 6th participation of the Republic of Cyprus in FRONTEX joint operations for the year 2024.
It is noted that since the beginning of the year, 4,241 persons residing illegally in Cyprus have left the country through forced and voluntary return procedures, compared to 3,263 persons in the same period last year.
The efforts of the Police and the Aliens and Immigration Service to maximize the number of returns continue.
