The last day for the submission of applications for registration in the electoral rolls is Tuesday, April 2, 2024, the Ministry of Interior reminds in an announcement.
Therefore, those who have not yet registered are invited to apply in time for registration in the electoral rolls so that they can exercise their right to vote. After the above date, it is noted, no new registration and/or change can be made in the electoral rolls.
The Ministry of Interior states that in the upcoming elections for Members of the European Parliament and Local Authorities, all citizens of the Republic aged 18 years and over who have their habitual residence in Cyprus, as well as citizens of other Member States of the European Union who reside in Cyprus and are registered in the relevant electoral rolls, have the right to vote.
As mentioned, young people who will reach the age of 18 until June 9, 2024, the date of the elections, ie those born until June 9, 2006, have the right to register in the electoral rolls. The application in this case must be submitted beforehand and necessarily no later than April 2, 2024.
For citizens up to the age of 25, applications can be submitted electronically, online, through the election website at elections.gov.cy.
Applications in printed form are submitted to the local Offices of the District Administrations, the Citizen Service Centres (KEP) and the Citizen Centres (KEPO – Cyprus Post). Application forms can be obtained from the above points, as well as from the Elections Service of the Ministry of Interior and the elections website.
