ISRAELI INVESTMENT OF €2 million WITH A REHABILITATION CENTRE, PROMOTED IN PEYIA

The environmental authority has given the green light for a project concerning the execution of additions to an existing arbitrary building, abandoned since the early 90s, intended for a hotel unit, with the aim of developing a Rehabilitation Center for the Elderly and a Nursing Home and the installation of a biological wastewater treatment plant in the municipal boundaries of Pegeia.

According to the designers of the proposed Project, the development to be made by the Israeli company Blenem Enterprises Ltd, will be implemented in one phase, with construction works expected to be completed in 24 months and the estimated cost to be approximately € 2,000,000.

The proposed development concerns the construction of a rehabilitation center for the elderly and a nursing home consisting of 41 rooms with private bathroom and some with balcony, and can accommodate 50 people. More specifically, on the ground floor 9 double rooms are proposed, while on the 1st and 2nd floor (Levels 4 and 5) 16 single rooms are proposed, respectively.

Also, the development will have spaces for the following uses:

• Dining room with terrace

• Massage rooms

• Gym / exercise area for rehabilitation

•Spa

• Open gym room

• Common toilets and changing rooms (depending on the floor)

• Auxiliary kitchens on the floors

• Staff kitchen and dining area

• Personnel offices

• Landscaped spaces

• Parking – 53 in total, of which 5 will be for people with disabilities, and are located within the plots, around the development.

According to the designers of the project, in order to save energy, the shell of the floors will be covered with thermal insulation, the self-shading of the structure will be increased and photovoltaic panels will be installed.

Access to the development area will be from Vatoudion Street.
