[Update from report yesterday ]An armed robbery occurred shortly before midnight in Linopetra in Limassol.
According to the Police, two hooded persons entered a betting agency and, under the threat of a pistol and a bat, took the sum of €7,900 from the cash register.
They then got into a car and fled in an unknown direction.
Members of the police rushed to the scene to investigate and identify the perpetrators.Investigations are ongoing.

The arrest of a 19-year-old man, for an investigated case of armed robbery committed at 2:15 in the morning in Limassol.
According to the police, a couple of foreigners aged 48 and 42, while on 28th October Street, were approached by an unknown man, and after talking for several minutes, he then attacked them and grabbed the girl's bag, while in the meantime he pointed a knife at the 48-year-old.
Subsequently, the perpetrator fled after grabbing the bag while a police patrol immediately rushed to the spot where the couple indicated the direction of escape. A chase then ensued, and around 2:30 in the morning it was possible to locate the suspect in an underground parking lot of an apartment building in the area. The 42-year-old's bag was also found at the scene, but her mobile phone was missing.
The suspect was initially arrested for identity verification and illegal possession of property and was taken to the ICF Limassol for questioning.
The examinations carried out revealed that he is a 19-year-old foreigner, and he is being brought before a court today for a detention order.

With the first light of day, the investigations of the Police and the Fire Brigade continue intensively, regarding the arson of two vehicles, outside the home of a member of the Presidential Guard.
According to information, the two vehicles belong, one to a relative of the Police Officer and is driven by his father and the other to a close friend. For now, authorities are looking into the criminal act and a cycle of taking statements. At the same time, members of the ICF are looking for closed surveillance circuit cameras in the area in an effort to identify the perpetrators.

Intensive investigations are underway in Oroklini following the allegation of shots fired at the vehicle of one of the accused for the murder of Thanasis Kalogeropoulos, committed on October 30 in Limassol.
Police forces with detection dogs are in the area and are conducting examinations in order to identify evidence, which will lead to the identification of the perpetrators. Various documents were taken from the scene which will be sent for scientific examinations.
The complaint was made by a relative of one of the accused, who realized on Tuesday morning that the vehicle parked outside his home in Oroklini had been shot at.

The incident has caused particular concern to the police, fearing a new cycle of blood. It is recalled that the four accused for the murder of Thanasis Kalogeropoulos are under trial in the Central Prison.

A group of eight young Turkish Cypriots allegedly fell victim to an attack by Greek Cypriots in Troodos on Sunday, Kibris Postasi reported.
The incident reportedly took place at 3:30 p.m. on February 18, leaving three people from the group injured.
Speaking to the Turkish Cypriot News Agency (TAK), the young people said that while driving to Troodos they stopped at the Platania picnic site where they were attacked by five or six Greek-speaking people aged 25 to 35.
According to TAK, the eight young people received treatment at the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia.
The Republic of Cyprus Police told in-cyprus that they have not received a complaint regarding the alleged incident.

Authorities have arrested a 43-year-old man under a court warrant in connection with an attack that took place on Monday in the corridors of the Court in Limassol against a relative of one of the accused.
According to the police, a case was registered against the 43-year-old at the Limassol District Court and he was released on parole until the hearing of the case on March 22. The defendant was granted bail of 10,000 euros, as well as daily presence at a police station.
In addition, a decree was issued obliging the accused not to approach the complainant within 200 meters.

Police arrested a man who started a fire inside a gym in Larnaca, philenews reported on Tuesday.
Footage that went viral on social media showed the man forcefully entering the gym and starting the blaze while patrons were working out.
This incident follows a similar disturbance at another gym in Aradippou, where the same individual assaulted a woman, before attempting again to start a fire, resulting in property damage.
Following his arrest, the man was sent to Athalassa Mental Hospital under a mandated psychiatric evaluation order.
Authorities have secured arrest warrants against him for both of the incidents he is allegedly involved in.
