On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, in the section from Skarinou to Germasogeia, in the period from Wednesday 10/1/2024 to Thursday 29/2/2024, every day, excluding weekends, work will be carried out to repair safety barriers and install reflective nails / of prisms. The work will be carried out every day Monday - Friday at the Department of Skarinos - Akti Kiverniti, between the hours of 09:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and at the Governor's Coast - Germasogeia Department during the night Monday - Thursday, between the hours of 21:00 p.m. until 05:00 am of the following day. During the work, one lane will be closed at all times and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane with appropriate signalling. Also, during the same period, work will be carried out to repair safety parapets and on the slope of the highway without affecting the traffic lane. On the Larnaca-Kofinou highway, in the period 9/1/2024 – 16/2/2024, every day, except weekends, between the hours of 08:30 – 14:00, work will be carried out to replace information signs. During the works, the road shoulder will be partially closed, 50 meters long at a time, without affecting road traffic.
On the Famagusta-Larnaka highway, on Tuesday 16/1/2024 and Wednesday 17/2/2024, between the hours of 08:30–14:00, cleaning work will be carried out on the storm water network in sections of the highway from Paralimni and Dekelia to Larnaca Airport area from the Pyla exit to the Livadia exit. During the works, the right lane of the highway will be partially closed for a distance of 1500m. and traffic will be diverted to the left lane. In Limassol, on the vertical road that connects the Limassol-Paphos highway with the Port of Limassol, landscaping/planting work continues on the central island, roundabouts and green strips on both sides of the road. During the period from Wednesday 27/12/2023 to Friday 02/02/2024 including weekends except New Year's, between the hours of 6.00 and 17.00, work will be carried out during which one lane of traffic will be closed at any time in each direction, for a length of 200-250 meters and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. It will also close part of the bike path for a length of approximately 300 m. and traffic will be on the sidewalk for shared use. On Protaras – Kavo Greko Avenue in the tourist area of Paralimni, from the intersection of the traffic lights with Perneras Avenue (Mandali) to the intersection with Dionysou Street (Flokkas Hotel Apartments), from Wednesday, December 27, 2023 and for a period of three (3 ) months, the installation of a pressure sewage pipeline will be carried out by the Paralimni Sewerage Council. During the above period, the works will be carried out in two phases. In Phase A, traffic will be diverted to secondary roads, while in Phase B, traffic will be regulated with temporary traffic lights. On the highways in the province of Larnaca, in the period 04/12/2023 – 26/1/2024, between the hours of 08:30 – 15:00, every day except weekends and holidays, the Forestry Department will carry out pruning and spraying of bushes, on the slopes of their highways and junctions. During the works, part of the ramp will be closed, in sections 300 meters long each way, on the Larnaca-Agia Napa highway from Larnaca Airport to the Rizoelia roundabout and on the Nicosia-Larnaka highway, from the Rizoelia roundabout to the exit to Lymbia, as well as on the Larnaca - Kofinou highway (from both directions). In Strovolos, in the period 17/10/2023 – 31/1/2024, a section of Strovolou Street will be closed from its junction with Hydras Street to its junction with Pentelis Street, as part of the "Road within Tseriou" Project. within the framework of the 6th phase of the works. During the above phase, traffic from and to Nicosia will be diverted to Pentelis, Veroia and Archiepiskopou Kyprianou streets. In Lakatamia, works will be carried out on Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street, from Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue to Pefkou Street, from Friday 12/5/2023 and for a period of 20 months, as part of the improvement/construction of Ippokratous, Argyroupoleos, and Department Avenues of Tseriou Avenue and Strovolou Street. At the same time, during the same period, as part of the reconstruction of Hippocrates Avenue, Themistokleous Street and Areos Avenue will be closed from their junction with Themistokleous Street to Nikias Street and Kentaurou Street respectively. On the Lakatamia-Psimolofou-Kapedon road, from Wednesday 10/1/2024 until Thursday 18/1/2024 (except on weekends), from 08:30 in the morning until 17:30 in the afternoon, asphalt paving works will be carried out. During the works, one lane of the road will remain closed for a length of 150m. approximately and the traffic will be diverted to the adjacent traffic lane (stop & go).In the Municipality of Nicosia, in the parish of Agios Andreas, Vasilissis Olgas Street will remain closed to vehicles from Monday, January 8 until Saturday, January 27, 2024 for the construction of sidewalks. Vasilissis Olgas Street will be closed from its junction with Achaion Street to its junction with Metohiou Street and from its junction with Achaion Street to its junction with Ionon Street. Traffic arrangements will be in place to serve residents, workers and passers-by and passing drivers are asked to follow detour signs. In Tseri, Nicosia province, from September 1, 2022, works will be carried out on the Road within Tseri, which will last 78 weeks and is expected to be completed by February 28, 2024. Works will be carried out within the Municipality of Tseri to upgrade the main road that passes through the Municipality. More specifically, the works will include the construction of a two-lane road (with additional clockwise lanes at the traffic lights) within the Municipality of Tseri for a length of approximately 2.5 kilometers. It also includes the construction of sections of bypass roads (K. Misiaulis, Salaminas, T. Anthia, S. Papalazarou, etc.), in a total area of approximately 600 meters, which contribute to the main road. In the project, a small roundabout will be built connecting Strovolos and Agios Georgios streets at its northern end. Along the road, parking spaces will be created on both sides to serve the commercial areas of the Municipality as well as the two Primary Schools included in the project. In the wider area of Larnaca and Famagusta, from 06/09/2023 the replacement works of outdated signaling equipment started by a private company at 33 light-controlled intersections and 12 pedestrian crossings of the Pelican type, with a new type of low consumption (Extra Low Voltage-ELV) with LED lamps , Pedestrian Countdown and touch-type demand system for pedestrians. In these cases the work will be carried out during the night (Monday – Thursday) or Sundays. The daily work will be carried out between the hours of 06:00 - 17:00, Sundays 06:00 - 18:00 and the night work between the hours of 21:00 until 06:00 the next day. In the period 11/12/2023 – 31/1/2024, excluding Fridays and weekends, between the hours of 23:30 in the evening and 05:30 in the morning of the following day, cleaning works of rainwater collection wells will be carried out at the roundabouts of the Bypass Road Limassol as well as at the entrances and exits from the roundabouts to the Bypass. During the works, it will be closed at any time one traffic lane of each node or each exit - entrance to the node and the traffic will be channeled to the other traffic lane. In the period from 11/12/2023 to 5/3/2024, between the hours 08:30 - 15:00, work will be carried out to cut/prune and collect acacias and other trees from the supports and slopes along the entire length of Larnaca – Ayia Napa highway in both directions, including Junctions.
