The President of the Republic inaugurates next Saturday, 9 December, three projects of cultural and social nature in the district of Pafos. Two of them concern the Akamas peninsula and the third in the community of Koili.

As the Prefect of Pafos, Mary Lambrou, told "F", President Christodoulides will inaugurate at 10 am next Saturday the Regional Training Centre for Agricultural Professions and Products in Koili, an hour later the Regional Centre of Geology and Paleontology of Akamas in Arodes and at 12 noon the Akamas Museum of Rural Life in Drouseia.

The first two projects were co-financed with the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and coordinated by the Pafos District Officer's Office, Lambrou said.

"The Museum in Drouseia has already received 5,000 visitors during its two years of operation," he said. "It operates within the Community Buildings erected with state and community contribution coordinated by the District Administration. The Museum was equipped by the Community Council and there are also experiential workshops of weaving, basketry and more".

The Geology Centre in Arodes, concluded the District Officer of Pafos, has received around 1500 visitors since its operation about a year ago.
