The civil marriage industry in Paphos, Pegeia and Geroskipou worked at full pace this year, confirming based on official data that this sector has definitively returned today to the record levels of 2019.
The three municipal authorities are now charging for a 2024 that will be a record year in the industry, since it is judged that conditions favour this condition.
From the ceremonies held this year in the three municipal authorities, the coffers were filled with significant amounts of money during 2023. This activity in the post-pandemic era is even more evident this year than it was in 2022, they stress in the three municipal palaces. As expected by those responsible for this sector, the apparent improvement recorded already last year, maintained a clear upward trend in 2023 in the specific Municipalities of the province, expressing the belief that the new year that enters in a few days will be a milestone for the sector.
The officials express their satisfaction for the launch of the whole activity, pointing out in particular the importance of restoring normality in the sector since it is one of the main financial revenues of municipal authorities. Paphos, Peyia and Geroskipou are traditionally considered among the most popular destinations internationally for civil weddings, due to the great natural landscapes they offer.
